Generosity Project

|

Details:

Maggie Cole, who grew up at BCC, was recently diagnosed with AML which is an aggressive leukemia. She started chemotherapy on July 29 which was a continuous slow drip for 7 days in hopes to eradicate the leukemia. She is now in the rebuilding phase with blood, plasma, and platelet transfusions. She will have the bone marrow biopsy repeated in the near future to determine if she is leukemia free. Maggie is awaiting further results from the first bone marrow biopsy to see if she has a genetic predisposition that would require her to have a bone marrow transplant for complete healing.

Maggie has a strong faith in God and trusts in his faithful provision and care in her life. The messages and Bible verses that she has been sharing on her CaringBridge site have inspired many as she constantly shares of God’s love, grace, and faithfulness. Maggie is blessed to be surrounded and supported by so many great people as well: her husband Jonathan, parents Daryl and Renee Caldwell, sister Cammi, brother Reid, extended family, as well as the BCC family.

During the months of August and September, BCC is giving our church family the opportunity to “Be The One” to assist Maggie & Jonathan by giving to our Generosity Project. Funds collected will go toward expenses associated with Maggie’s medical bills as well as an egg retrieval procedure as their desire is to have children in the future. Maggie is unable to work at this time and possibly for the remainder of the school year, so funds collected will also assist with living expenses. Donations can be made by placing cash or checks, made out to Bright Christian Church, in the Generosity Project boxes located in the foyer through the end of September. You may also give online by clicking https://www.brightcc.org/give-online and choosing "Generosity Project" under FUND on the drop-down list.

We are grateful for our generous church family, and we want to thank you in advance for helping to relieve Maggie and Jonathan of some of the financial burdens they will experience in the months ahead. Please join us in praying for Maggie’s treatment, recovering, and healing, and praising God for His faithfulness!
